This weed-infested creek line was subject to flooding prior to commencement. The project involved bulk earthworks, removal of weed, reshaping of creek batters, in-creek works, embankment stabilisation, construction of stormwater drainage, installation of rock riffles and revegetation. A one year establishment and maintenance period ensured the success of the revegetation.
Undercover Landscapes offered alternative solutions to erosion and sediment control and created ecological benefits. Local provenance macrophyte species were transplanted to ensure local genetic material was not lost.
Project Highlights
Under the expertise of Undercover Landscapes team an overgrown drainage channel becomes a natural looking creek line ecosystem planted out with provenance vegetation.
